GSDM SPEAKER EXPRESSES SHOCK FOLLOWING THE PASSING OF COUNCILLORS AT GSDM.

The Gert Sibande District Municipality (GSDM) recently announced the untimely passing of two members of the Gert Sibande Council Cllr Victor Dudley, a full-time Councillor at GSDM representing the Democratic Alliance, and Cllr Jabulile Ndebele, a PR Councillor representing the Economic Freedom Fighters. They were both dedicated members of the GSDM Council since their election in November 2021.

The Speaker of Council at GSDM Cllr Busisiwe Sekhonde said, “We are shocked and heartbroken to learn of their passing, a tragic loss to the municipality and the entire community of Gert Sibande District. They were both still young with great potential. Their sudden departure leaves a gap not only in the political landscape of our district but also in the hearts of those who had the privilege of working alongside them”.

As young leaders, the late councillors were passionate advocates for development and progress. They consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to  improving the lives of our citizens through sound decision making of the GSDM Council.
