2.4 million bricks, 82 000 packets of cement and 3700m² of glass has seen the completion of the new state-of-the-art Gert Sibande District Municipality offices. The Gert Sibande District Municipality, under the leadership of Alderman Andrias Gamede, has constructed a new office building in Ermelo, Mpumalanga (South Africa). The drizzling weather was a symbol of blessings for the Saturday 16 April grand opening of the towering Gert Sibande District Municipality Office Complex. Appreciative community members braved the wet weather and came in droves to witness the historic moment of the official opening the state-of-the-art colossal structure housing the administrative functions of the District. The District Municipality committed millions of rands in the architectural wonder hailed as the few of its kind within the Mpumalanga Province and even the country at large. Located on the N17 corridor in Ermelo, it is bounded by Ekurhuleni Metro of Gauteng to the west, Sedibeng District Municipality of the Northern Free State to the South West, Ehlanzeni District Municipality to the North East of Mpumalanga, Nkangala District Municipality to the north of Mpumalanga, Amajuba District Municipality to the South East of KwaZulu-Natal and Swaziland to the East.
